Trick My Truck's Kelvin Locklear Coming to VMP in October
Kelvin Locklear of the hit TV show Trick My Truck will be at VMP for the NAPA Auto and Truck Parts East Coast Truckin Nationals October 1st through 3rd.
Kelvin hails from South Carolina where he owns and operates K & L Chrome with his wife, April. He is known throughout the trucking industry as the guy who will build it when everyone else says no. Anyone who knows anything about big truck fabrication probably learned it from Kelvin. If it involves a truck, he's worked on it -- paint, engine work or metal fabrication. At the K&L Chrome Shop, Kelvin and April build and design custom trucks and accessories. They do everything from painting trucks to tearing a truck all the way to the frame rails and building it back up again.
NHRDA Super Street World Record Holder Coming To VMP in October
M/C Forsten Racing went into Saturday’s National Hot Rod Diesel Association (NHRDA) event at Maple Grove Raceway with two clear objectives: win the Super Street class and set a new NHRDA Super Street elapsed-time record. Mission accomplished -- and then some.
The father-and-son team left Mohnton, Pa. with two winners’ trophies after capturing both the Super Street and Pro Street classes at the NHRDA Performance Exhaust Diesel Drag Race Series event, recording its second and third career NHRDA race victories in the process. The team, with Cole Forsten behind the wheel, also coaxed enough out of its 1999 Dodge Ram to set a new official NHRDA national Super Street elapsed-time record, covering Maple Grove’s quarter-mile in 10.56 seconds at a speed of just over 126 miles per hour.
This dominant duo will be at VMP October 1st through 3rd for the annual NAPA Auto and Truck Parts East Coast Truckin Nationals.

ABOUT THE EAST COAST TRUCKIN NATIONALS
On October 1st through 3rd Virginia Motorsports Park will host the NAPA Truck Parts East Coast Truckin Nationals presented by Truck Enterprises and Elizabeth Truck Center. Over 40 vendors will fill the midway with top of the line truck parts and accessories. Among the elite group of vendors will be Elizabeth Truck Center, owned and operated by the famous Pesce brothers, Steven and Anthony. Based out of Elizabeth, NJ, ETC brings down a quality entourage of award winning trucks every year including the Beast, Mayhem, and Predator along with an assortment of jaw dropping truck components such as chrome bumpers, exhaust, tool boxes, LED lights, train horns, custom diamond plating, custom wood interior and cleaners and polishes. On the drag strip, big rigs and pick ups will battle it out on the quarter mile in four different race classes while the show field will be composed of over 50 different classes. Truck fans will witness high flying car crushing monster truck exhibitions featuring the Virginia Giant. Last year both the Virginia Giant and the Screamin Deamon put on incredible displays with the Virginia Giant really drawing excitement out of the crowd as he laid down rubber during squealing, smoky burnouts in front of the VMP tower.
