Day Test & Tune This Friday / Open Test & Tune Saturday
VMP is offering a Day Test and Tune session this Friday November 13th. The track will be available from 10 AM until 5 PM and the entry fee is $100. The test and tune session will be limited to Slicks, DOT Slicks, and Drag Radials. The racers who take part in the test session will also be able to test and tune Friday night at no extra charge. A $30 open test & tune will also be available Saturday and will be run between rounds of competition. For more information call the main office at 804-862-3174

RULES
Outlaw 10.5
Power train modification is unlimited in this class and the suspension modification is unlimited from the front firewall back. All cars must retain the stock type front suspension and are limited to a 10.5W tire. Weight requirements will be made based on engine configuration and power adder type.
BODY - Any factory produced car or truck permitted. Body must maintain factory dimensions (no ¾ scale vehicles allowed). Must use factory roof and quarter panels. Firewall must remain in stock location. Notching for clearance is permitted. One piece front ends are permitted. All vehicles must have functional headlights and at least one functional tail light. Lexan is permitted but must be used in factory glass sizes and bolted in factory channels. Stock appearing dash is mandatory. Decals are permitted for display anywhere on the vehicle.
CHASSIS - This class is designed for back-halved cars only. Stock front frame rails must remain intact from firewall forward. Aftermarket or custom K-members may be used and must bolt to the stock frame rail. Stock type front suspension is required and aftermarket components for the stock front suspension are permitted. Stock strut towers must remain in place but modification is permitted for clearance purposes. Any rear suspension type is allowed. All vehicles must remain within 2” of factory produced wheelbase. Wheelie Bars are permitted.
ENGINE - Any engine size allowed but must be american made and automotive type. Any single power adder allowed. Multiple Power Adder's will be allowed in four (4) cylinder, and six (6) cylinder applications.
TRANSMISSION - Any automotive type transmission allowed. Clutchless Transmissions permitted.
TIRES - All cars must run a mass produced drag slick with a maximum sidewall designation and size of 33x10.5W tire. Competitors may also run on a true 10.5 or drag radial tire if they prefer.

Outlaw Drag Radial
Outlaw Drag Radial – Is a Heads Up class (pro qualifying ladder, 16 car field) and allows unlimited power train modifications. The limiting factor for this class will be the requirement to run a specific Drag Radial type tire. All cars must use factory-style suspension combinations, and the rear frame rails of the vehicle must remain intact. This class will be full of seven-second cars, which will make for exciting races. Weight requirements will be made based on engine configuration and power adder type.
BODY - Any factory produced car or truck permitted. Body must maintain factory dimensions (no ¾ scale vehicles allowed). Must use factory roof, windshield frame, and quarter panels. Firewall must remain in stock location. Notching for clearance is permitted. No one piece front ends allowed. Front ends may be removed as a whole but must be comprised of an individual Hood, fenders, and bumper. All vehicles must have functional headlights and at least one functional tail light. Lexan or aftermarket glass is permitted but must mount in factory location and no visible (from the outside) fasteners are permitted. Stock appearing dash is mandatory. Vehicles must have stock appearing front and rear bumpers. Wings are permitted. Decals are permitted for display anywhere on the vehicle.
CHASSIS - Stock style suspension cars only allowed at base weights. Aftermarket direct replacement components such as: front control arms, rear control arms, front coil over shocks, rear coil over shocks, a-arms, and polyurethane bushings permitted. Aftermarket rack and pinion steering allowed. Bolt on traction devices only. Weld on subframe connectors and rear sway bars are permitted. Leaf Springs and shocks may be moved to accommodate for tire clearance only. Wheelie bars are not permitted.
Add: 100lbs to base weight if you are running aftermarket type rear suspension (Ladder Bar, Torque Arm in a non-Torque Arm vehicle, or 4-Link).
ENGINE - Any engine size allowed but must be american made and automotive type. Any single power adder allowed. Four (4), and Six (6) cylinder engines may utilize up to two power adders.
EXHAUST - All cars must have functional mufflers with exception to turbo cars.
TRANSMISSION - Any automotive type, fluid driven transmission is allowed. Manual transmissions are permitted but must use factory shift pattern and no clutchless transmissions allowed.
TIRES - All cars must compete on one of the following mass produced Drag Radial tires with this sidewall designation.

8.50 Index
General:
- At ¼ mile venues the index will be 8.50
- At 1/8th mile venues the index will be 5.50

- .4 Pro Tree/Heads Up/8.50 Breakout/Quickest ET gets lane choice
- If both cars run faster than 8.50 during competition the vehicle closer to the 8.50 index will advance.
- Maximum tire 10.5” (example: W33.0/10.5-15W)
- Any race fuel permitted including alcohol
- Minimum vehicle weight: 2800 lbs. for Small Block
- Big Block Minimum vehicle weight is 3000lbs
- Auto Start set at 7 seconds for timeout
- All NHRA safety rules, license and chassis requirements in effect
Body/Interior:
- Full-bodied factory rear wheel drive street type cars
- Back half or stock suspension permitted
- Windows, Lexan permitted (Roll down windows optional)
- Must have stock style front suspension
- No full round or square tube chassis cars
Electronics:
- Bracket Racing Aids: No throttle stops, or Optical sensors. No delay boxes or other driver aided electronics. Progressive Nitrous controller system permitted.
Engine/Transmission:
- Any American made, automotive type powertrain is permitted
