Extreme 275 Drag Radial returns to VMP this Saturday as part of the IHRA Thunder Jam.  The X275 guys always produce great results and we expect nothing less this weekend.  The Bumper dragging, Nitrous spraying, Turbo spooling, high horsepower engines on a little tire is sure to produce some unpredictable and wildly entertaining racing that you’ll have to see to believe.  

Another group coming to rock the Thunder Jam this weekend is a group of racers from DC, northern VA, MD and surrounding areas known as the DC Outlaws.  The unique grouping of cars varies from Blown Alcohol Dragsters and funny cars, to Door Slamming Pro Mods, and even a few crazy and high unpredictable fuel altereds.  The DC Outlaws run E.T.s in the mid 6 second range at well over 225 MPH.

Due to the success of the Ladies Night 4.99 Call Out Race, VMP has decided to bring back the format for a second time with the Ladies Night 4.99 Redemption Race on Friday July 30th. Due to a scheduling conflict with the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals, VMP will NOT run Junior Dragsters on Sunday August 1st during the scheduled ET Points race.  Junior Dragsters will run a make up race on Sunday October 3rd during the East Coast Truckin Nationals.

Harry the Hat is returning to VMP for the 2010 East Coast Truckin Nationals October 2nd and 3rd along with a special guest, The Virginia Towing Association, to bring you the newly added Tow Show! The all new Tow Show will feature a Tow Rodeo, Lockout Contest, Rollover Exhibit and flat out Tow Truck Drag Racing! This time truck drivers, your ETA's WILL COUNT!!!
